The only issue I have - which is different in the Faxon and Smoke Composites - is there are just thin holes in the carbon fiber with little bolts holding it to the metal mounting ring. As you noted it is a big weight reduction and that reduction is on the FRONT of the gun. My gun balances much better now. If you go with Smoke they make two diameters that will fit. The short pull is 0.89oz lighter than the rifle length, but unfortunately for me, I’m a tall, lanky guy. I’ve tried the short pull stock, and short stocks on other’s builds and it just doesn’t feel right for me. I much prefer a longer length of pull.
